The purpose of this site is to allow the Norridge citizens, customers or any victim of a crime that occurred with the Norridge limits, to file police reports online. After completing all the required information you will be able to print a copy of the information that you submitted. If the incident you wish to report is an emergency, a crime in progress, or involves any type of injury please do not submit the report online and dial 9-1-1. Domestic violence incidents do not qualify under the online reporting criteria and must have an officer respond.

If you are unable to determine if the incident is related to Domestic Violence and not in progress dial the police non-emergent number (708)453-4770 to have an officer respond to your location. The loss or theft of prescription medication or narcotics cannot be reported online. For any incident that requires a police officer to respond dial the police non-emergency number (708)453-4770.

Before you proceed, you should be aware that it is a crime to make a false police report and all instances of false reports will be prosecuted. This online reporting system is only to be used to report a set of limited criminal incidents with very specific criteria listed below.

Criminal Mischief:
The act of changing, modifying or defacing public property is under $200
- Graffiti, throwing a rock through a window

Harassment:
A person who engages in alarming conduct or repeatedly committing acts
- Harassing phone calls, personal threat, continuous harassment that affects one's way of life, to cause alarm or seriously annoy to another person (NOT INVOLVING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE RELATED ISSUES)

Lost Property:
When the property is missing or lost
- Property that is missing, such as leaving a personal item in a restaurant or business

Property Damage
Accidental damage to one's property
- Property damage that required a report for an insurance claim. Such as flood damage, storm damage, damage caused by a contractor that was not purposeful.

Theft of Property:
Property taken without permission or consent
- Your property is taken without your permission and the property is under $200

Filing a false police report is a crime, (720 ILCS 5/26-1(4)). A person commits disorderly conduct when he/she knowingly:(4) Transmits or causes to be transmitted in any manner to any peace officer, a public officer or public employee a report to the effect that an offense will be committed, is being committed, or has been committed, knowing at the time of such transmission that there is no reasonable ground for believing that such an offense will be committed, is being committed or has been committed.

Over Night Parking

Provide us the details of your vehicle and the location it will be parked over night. We will add your request to our database to ensure a ticket is not given.

Overnight parking requests must be submitted prior to 2:00 A.M. of the day requested. Citations issued between 2:00 A.M. and 6:00 A.M. will not be voided if the citation is issued prior to the time parking permission is requested. All vehicles receiving overnight parking permission MUST otherwise be parked legally (i.e. not in violation of posted signs, fire hydrants, snow routes, etc.). Oversize vehicles such as trucks, RV's. commercial vehicles and trailers must receive parking permission. Requests for parking in excess of three (3) consecutive days must also receive permission. For the above requests, please call 708-583-5774 - Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
