***OVERNIGHT PARKING*** Parking is prohibited on any Village street between the hours of 2 A.M. & 6 A.M. Overnight parking permission requests must be submitted prior to 2 A.M. of the day requested to avoid a citation.  All vehicles receiving permission MUST otherwise be parked legally. Each household is allowed 6 occuriences per year to park overnight on the street, unless approved by a supervisor. Oversized vehicles such as box trucks, RV's, trailers, etc. must call 815-385-6024 for permission. Parking is also prohibited within twelve (12) hours after a snowfall of two inches (2") or more has occurred. 

***VACATION WATCH REQUEST*** House checks are considered only when the home is vacant for a minimum of 3 DAYS. If someone is staying at the premise, a watch will not be granted. Submitting this request does not remove your responsibility from making every attempt to protect your property while you are away. The department will make every effort to check your property, but only as priority calls or call volume allows. By submitting a vacation watch request to the Johnsburg Police Department, you release and indemnify the Village of Johnsburg from all claims or liability that may arise with this request. Additionally, you acknowledge the vacation watch is provided as a courtesy to Village residents. Lastly, you understand this form does not guarantee the Johnsburg Police Department will be able to check the residence on a daily basis nor does the Village of Johnsburg assume responsibility for any damage or injury that may occur on or to your property during the time this request is valid.
