This online Vacation Watch system is provided as a courtesy service to the community by the Madera Police Department.  While every effort is made to monitor registered properties, it is important to note that participation in this program does not guarantee the prevention of criminal activity or incidents during the resident’s absence. 

By registering for this program, residents acknowledge that staff with the Madera Police Department will make reasonable efforts to conduct periodic checks of the perimeter of their property to verify everything looks secure.  However, due to factors such as resource availability and scheduling constraints, these checks may not occur at regular intervals and cannot be guaranteed.

Residents are encouraged to take additional precautions to safeguard their property, such as installing security systems, notifying trusted neighbors of their absence, and securing valuables before departing.  The Madera Police Department cannot and will not be held liable for any losses or damages incurred to properties during the resident's absence, regardless of participation in this program.

Participants also understand that providing false information or misusing the program may result in suspending or terminating their registration and/or future use.  The Madera Police Department reserves the right to modify or discontinue this program at any time without prior notice.

By registering for this Vacation Watch program, residents agree to these terms and conditions and release the Madera Police Department and its staff from any liability arising from their participation.

Online reporting system Citizen Reporting disclaimer:  

This online Citizen Reporting program is provided as a courtesy to the community by the Madera Police Department.  The program is designed to facilitate the community in reporting of non-emergency crimes and incidents.  While every effort is made to review and respond to citizen-submitted reports in a timely manner, users are advised that this is not a substitute for emergency services, and it is important to understand the following:  

Non-Emergency Reporting:  This program is intended for non-emergency situations only, and never for reporting crimes in progress.  In the event of an emergency or life-threatening incident, individuals should dial 911 or contact the Madera Police Department at (559) 675-4220.  

Accuracy of Information and False Reporting:  You are responsible for providing accurate and thorough information to the best of your knowledge.  Knowingly providing false information in this system or misusing the program may result in legal consequences.  We encourage community members to submit accurate and truthful reports to facilitate effective response and investigation by our staff.  

Limited Response Guarantee:  While the Madera Police Department and its officials make all reasonable efforts to review and address online reports, the volume of reports and resource availability may impact response and investigation times.  Response to reports is prioritized based on urgency and severity.  

Not a Substitute for Emergency Services:  This online reporting program is not a substitute for emergency services or immediate intervention by law enforcement officials.  Community members should contact the Madera Police Department directly if they require urgent or emergency assistance.

Online reporting system At-Risk Resident disclaimer:  

This online At-risk Resident registration program is provided as a courtesy service to the community by the Madera Police Department. This service is not to report a missing person. If you need to report a person missing, please call our non-emergency line at (559)675-4220 or 911 in the event of an emergency.  The At-risk Resident program is intended to provide additional support and monitoring for residents who may be vulnerable or at risk in our community. This program is designed to provide the Madera Police Department with information for people with disabilities or medical conditions which impair their memory or cognitive abilities. While every effort is made to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals, it is important to understand the limitations of this program.   

Participation in this program does not guarantee immediate response or intervention in emergency situations. Law enforcement officials with the Madera Police Department will make reasonable efforts to support and respond to alerts or concerns, but response times may vary depending on factors such as resource availability and the nature of the emergency.  

Registered individuals and their caregivers acknowledge that they are responsible for their own safety and should take appropriate precautions to mitigate risks.  This may include implementing personal safety plans, communicating with trusted contacts, and utilizing available support services.  

The Madera Police Department cannot be held liable for any losses, damages, or injuries incurred by registered individuals or their caregivers, regardless of participation in this program.  Participation in the online at-risk resident program is completely voluntary, and individuals or their caregivers may choose to opt out at any time.  

By registering and participating in this program, participants agree to these terms and conditions, and release the Madera Police Department and other law enforcement agencies and their affiliates from any liability arising from their participation.
