Welcome to the Miami Shores Ploce Department Special Needs/At-Risk Registry. The registry is intended to compile and maintain a list of individuals who have “special needs” due to mental or neurological disabilities, and who reside within, or frequently visit, Miami Shores Village. Residents are invited to proactively provide information about any loved one with special needs, regardless of age, who may require special assistance in an emergency situation or interaction with Miami Shores Police Officers and other emergency first responders as needed.

To participate in the registry program the user understands the information provided to the Miami Shores Police Department is for law enforcement to have useful information to better handle a situation involving the registered individual. This information may be subject to public records laws (Florida State Statute Chapter 119).

Waiver and Release: We understand and agree that participation in this voluntary program does not create any specific right, interest, or guarantee from the Village of Miami Shores, its employees, elected officials, contractors, attorneys, or agents (collectively "the Village"). We, hereby release, waive, and discharge the Village from any and all liability for personal injury, property damage, property theft, loss, and all other claims of any kind which may accrue to any person or any entity, including but not limited to the Special Needs Individual. Such waiver, release, and discharge includes but is not limited to claims for attorney's fees and litigation costs arising from, participation in this voluntary program.
