Over Night Parking

Provide us the details of your vehicle and the location it will be parked over night. We will add your request to our database to ensure a ticket is not given.

Vacation Watch
Provide us the details of your property and the date ranges you will be gone. Once added to our database, your property will be added to our list of vacation watches for officers to check on (time-permitting).
Citizen Reporting
Provide us with details of incidents that do not require an immediate police response. We will review the details and act accordingly.
Bike Management
Provide us the details of your bicycle. Once added to our database, your bike information will be available to the police department in case of lost or stolen.
Pet Management
Provide us the details of your pet. Once added to our database, your pet information will be available to the police department in case of lost or stolen.
KeyHolders

OVERNIGHT PARKING (Please Read Changes to the Rules as of September 20, 2022)

Overnight parking request shall be approved for the following reasons: overnight visitors, driveway repaving, sealcoating, storage of large construction container or similar circumstances. Overnight parking is only permitted along the property frontage of the resident owner/renter making the request. Overnight parking is limited to 6 occurrences in a 30-day period per property. No overnight parking request shall be granted during snow events.  For special circumstances, please contact the Westwood Police Department at 201-664-7000. Vehicles MUST be legally parked.

 

§ 375-15 Overnight parking prohibited - Unless authorized by the Parking Authority under the terms of a cancelable agreement filed with the Borough Clerk, no person shall park or permit the parking of any vehicle on any street or in any municipal parking lot within the Borough of Westwood on any day between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

The Westwood Police Department will make every effort to check your residence while you are away. Please take all necessary precautions to safeguard your home and enlist the assistance of friends and neighbors to check on your property throughout your absence.  

 

Homeowners should make every effort to make sure their property is safe and accessible to officers. Any property deemed to be hazardous or inaccessible by the responding officer may not be thoroughly checked.
