Please understand that professional standards investigations are often detailed and involve multiple investigatory steps. These steps can be time-consuming, and for that reason the standard deadline for professional standards investigations is 90 days.

• You can expect further correspondence from our agency regarding your complaint within that timeframe.

• In some cases, this deadline may be extended due to circumstances outside of our agency’s control, such as reliance on outside resources.

• If a deadline extension becomes necessary, you will be notified accordingly.

?? Legal Notice on False Statements:

A person is guilty of making a false written statement when the person makes a false statement which the person knows to be false or does not believe to be true in a written instrument bearing a notice, authorized by law, to the effect that false statements therein are punishable.

Making a false statement is a Class A misdemeanor under Delaware law and may result in criminal prosecution.
